The BCYBA is pleased to offer the opportunity to complete a CPR Certification Level A course at our locations in Vancouver and Victoria on Wednesday, March 29. This will be a very worthwhile opportunity for continuing education, as well as a chance to earn 5 CPYB re-certification credits.

This certification course teaches comprehensive medical emergency management, including how to use an 'AED' or 'Automatic External Defibrillator'. All students will receive an internationally recognized certificate on completion of the course.

Level A includes skills for patients 8 years and older. The level A course takes 4 hours, including a short written exam.

This invitation is to all BCYBA members. Members are welcome to invite other guests (office staff and family members). Space is limited to 30 participants at each location. For CPYBs, this course is worth 5 CPYB re-certification credits.

Topics covered:

  • Safety
  • The Emergency Response Plan
  • Emergency bleeding
  • CPR
  • AED (Automatic External Defibrillator)
  • Choking

As the course providers and trainers at each venue are different, each course may be slightly different from each other.
